Here I am already at the 5 month mark. Crazy how fast time flies, I can’t believe I have already been in Iceland for 5 months! I have been told that the first 6 months are the most difficult so I am almost there.
This past month has been full of new opportunities and fun events. I am really looking forward to what will happen this next month here. My 6 month recap will hopefully be full of exciting news!
Now on to my recap of my fifth month in Iceland.
One weekend of beautiful Spring weather
It didn’t last long, the rest of the month was cold and snowy!
2 basketball games streamed of my baby sis playing at state

So proud of my sister and glad I got to see at least some of her games this year!
5 trips to the immigration office
All worth it when this little card arrived!

3 sites visited on my work trip
Daily glasses of this delicious carrot juice, I can’t get enough of it!
Multiple days wearing my bracelet for courage
Its been a risk taking kind of month
2 delicious buns ate during Carnival Week

Several hard days when feelings of homesickness took over
I blame the deary weather for making this month extra difficult
First time winning a game of bowling, seriously I am usually terrible!
Must be all that carrot juice I have been drinking
2 annual balls attended, my favorite events this month!

Question of the Day?
What have you been up to this past month?
I'm Kaelene, a girl from Oregon figuring out life in Iceland. I have a passion for travel and a weakness for a good glass of wine. I believe in faking it tell you make it and am far from figuring out the expat life.
