I agree, he seemed much nicer so we will go with that! He did an interview and he said he eats over 10,000 calories a day to keep up with his training, crazy!

Hey! I am studying abroad in Germany next year and am planning a trip to Iceland. Would you recommend visiting in October or March? Thanks!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Hey! I think it depends on what you want to do in Iceland. Both of those months are kind of wild card months weather wise. If you are trying to see the northern lights I would recommend coming late in October and if your wanting to be outdoors hiking probably late in March. If you come in March just check when Easter falls because most everything shuts down for about 4 days over the Easter holiday. Hope this helps!

      • Micah Lambert

It definitely does, thanks so much! :)

  • Monta Ramiņa

Hi! I am from Latvia but for past 2 years I live in Ireland. Im thinking to move to Iceland so i was just scrolling through google today and came across your amazing blog. I read all your articles about life in Iceland and it seems you are having such a good time and experience. :) so i was just wondering maybe you have any tips before i move? is it hard to start a new life there?

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Hi! Welcome :) It isn’t the easiest place to be honest. It can be quite difficult to get a job if you don’t speak Icelandic and it is a very expensive country. If you don’t mind long dark winters though and love nature I say go for it!

      • Monta Ramiņa

I`m used to dark and rainy days. We rarely gets sun here in Ireland. I will go to Iceland for holidays soon so it will be easier to decide i hope. :)

        • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Very true in Ireland! I would say the weather and the language are the two most difficult things for me to get use to. But yes I highly recommend a trip to Iceland to help you decide:) What would you be interested in doing in Iceland, study, work?

          • Monta Ramiņa

If i had an opportunity i would like to go study, but then again it`s hard to support myself and be a student in the same time. Though if i move there i will go to language courses and then hopefully move on step by step. The only thing what holds me back is money because i dont know how much i need to survive for few months till i get a job. You know it would be hard to live in a tent there :D

          • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Well best of luck! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions:)

          • Monta Ramiņa

            Thank You :)
