A Piece of Home

I know Christmas has come and gone and were into the New Year but I have one last Christmas post to share.

Christmas Tree

Last night Santa, aka the Icelandic post man, dropped off my last Christmas gift at 9:30 at night. Is this not a crazy late time to anyone else cause I think its so late, I run and hide when someone knocks on my door that late but H and everyone else in Iceland finds it totally normal. Anyways back to Christmas fun because I know you all are dying to know what Santa brought me!

Christmas Package

I knew my parents had sent me a package with some Christmas love in it and I could feel how much love and support I have back home with each and every gift I unwrapped.

Christmas Package

The inclusion of the blogging article was an added bonus showing me that no matter what I am doing my parents are there to support me. My mom took the time to write little notes on each gift that made me smile and gave each one a deeper meaning.

With so many fun gifts I had to do a little photo shoot. Apparently H was quite the comedian last night because I couldn’t seem to keep my giggles under control long enough to take a clear photo.

Scarf

Christmas just makes me happy, I vote Christmas fun all year long!

My grandma knitted this scarf for me and made sure to use colors that would bring out my eyes and hair color, her words not mine ;) Gotta stay in fashion when I am all bundled up! Can’t wait to wear this out on my very chilly walks, my grandma is very talented!

My parents have always been so great about giving us girls a gift that would have meaning behind it that we could cherish for the years to come. In my package I think I got my favorite gift my parents have ever given me and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.

Christmas Book

Why may this book mean so much you ask?? Well every year on Christmas Eve we all gather around to read a Christmas story. Since I wasn’t there this year and missed the story my parents brought the story to me. This book is one where you can leave recordings on each page. Now I have my own Christmas book with my parents reading it to me, bloopers included. BEST GIFT EVER!

My mom couldn’t resist herself with sending me a headlamp to “give me light in the dark winter days.” Naturally I took a bunch of pictures while wearing it.

Head Lamp

The head lamp really brings out the creepy red in my eyes. This sweet gadget even has a strobe light option, I am definitely going to be the life of the party with this on. Don’t worry mom I promise to wear this for safety purposes only :)

Head Lamp

A big thank you to my family, your gifts made home feel that much closer, I love you guys!

Question of the Day?
