ABC’s of Me

This week I was hit with my first flu since, well I don’t really know when its been to long for me to remember. Having the flu is just the worst, the body aches, nausea, exhaustion and no appetite (we had some yummy dinner plans this week) it all sucks.

I have seen the ABC’s of me floating around the blogging world before and after seeing Amanda post one recently I figured this would be the perfect sick day post for me. Now for an entire alphabet of really important facts all about me.

*knock on wood* i have managed to stay healthy this year so far.

    hmm…some of my ABCs…

V- vegetables I dislike: broccoli. i hate it cooked, but can tolerate it raw. still will never crave it. i like peas, but i think they are pointless.

P- pet peeves: i dont like when people mess with their fingernails. it is cringe worthy for me. i also hate chewing w/ mouth open or chomping gum. i cant actually look at a person when they do this and i often will ask them to stop. even if they are strangers.

W- what makes you run late: Nothing. I HATE being late. I’m always like 30+ minutes early anywhere I go.

C- chores I hate: this is not really a chore per say, but i really hate cleaning my juicer after i use it. i make the fiance do it ;) i also have issues putting clothes away once they are clean. i tend to use the dry rack as my closet :)

D- dogs: my dog, Jax, rules the world

    Happy weekend <3

Haha your dry rack sounds quite similar to ours as well! I hope you stay healthy and don’t get knocked down with this nasty bug!

Loved getting to know you more! I too love purple and fear snakes! Can’t stand to even look at a picture of one! *shudders*

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Thanks so much! Seriously, snakes just terrify me!

O: I broke my first bone (shoulder) at 23 in Germany in a bike accident, but did not have to stay overnight considering I didn’t go to the doctor for 3 days, oops.

W: I’m very German and very on time.

I love these sorts of lists!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Ouch that must have hurt to be walking around for a few days like that! These lists are so fun to get to know someone better, and much easier than writing an awkward about page!

  • http://www.rhymeandribbons.com/ Amanda

Ugh I’ve broken both my legs and my collar bone (all at different times) it’s the worst! (I mean obviously losing a limb would be much worse, but you know what I mean) I also dislike red veggies. I don’t know what it is about them! But most of all, I adore that first picture of you! Hope you’re feeling better! xx

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Geez girl I need to put you in a bubble! Thanks so much, I am finally on the mend and I believe life is better in tutus!

  • Jessica Shannon

I want a California king bed so bad! And I’m the oldest too (of 6 kids)! Yay for kangaroos, they are my fav and so cute but I heard they are actually pretty mean?! I hope you feel better!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

It would be so nice to have such a large cozy bed! It is true, kangaroos in the wild can be mean and people in Australia see them as a pest!

Feel better soon! I love purple, I’ll plaster it everywhere and buy purple everything. You wake up at 7am every day? I wish I was a morning person and had that dedication.

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Thanks, I am finally starting to feel better, times like these that I really miss American accessibility to over the counter drugs, like NyQuil! I worked at a coffee shop every morning at 5 am so I was transformed into a morning person!

  • Mar

Love this idea! I think I may have to join in on the fun. Thanks for sharing!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Thanks for reading, it is a fun way to get to share a bit more about yourself!

  • http://tothedayslikethis.blogspot.co.uk/ Sammy Dorn

I hope you feel better soon. The flu sucks. It knocked me down for a week just a little while ago.

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Ugh isn’t it the worst, just makes you miss home even more! Thanks so much though, I am finally feeling better!

  • http://letuswanderlust.blogspot.com/ Carly Herring

I love this post! Gosh we have so much in common - I too am 24, I’m 5’3″ (tiny bit shorter), can’t start my day without my coffee, am the oldest sibling and am an amazing flute player from way back (age 11-12) and am now enjoying early retirement too hehe. I hope you feel better soon!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Wow we have so much in common! It is probably for the best that I went into early retirement with the flute. Thanks so much I am finally feeling more like myself!

  • http://www.lifechangesii.com/ LifeChangesii

I have not seen the ABC post so this gives me something new to try on my blog one day. That was good you were able to get a post out while being sick. I’ve had the flu many times and it sucks.

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Yes it is a fun post to write! Ugh the flu is just no fun at all, hope I don’t have that again anytime soon!

  • http://voyageofthemeemee.com/ Amanda MeeMee

The flu is going around TERRIBLY this year. Luckily I haven’t caught it. Yet.
I played flute in middle school, too! What, WHAAAAT?!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

I rocked the flute in middle school, until I realized how terrible I actually was! Ugh the flu is the worst, hope I don’t have that again!

  • Dance With A Dolly

Just found your blog but wanted to say I think it is AWESOME that you live in Iceland!! That is one place, I always wanted to visit!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Thanks so stopping by! Iceland is a beautiful place I hope you get to visit!

  • Nicole Ehrlich

Love the ABC idea. Giraffes are the best :) Hope you are feeling better!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Thank you! Giraffes are so beautiful. The ABC was a fun post to write, I am glad you liked it:)

  • http://www.thewanderblogger.com/ Sarah Shumate

I’m so sorry you’ve been so sick!! I have never had the flu, so I’m terrified of getting it - it sounds awful!

I’m with you on the bed size - Cory and I sleep in a double bed and it feels ridiculously small. Sometimes I make him sleep on the couch just so I can have some space! Ha!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene Spence

Oh you are one lucky lady, never had the flu I wish that was me! Ha I try and get in bed first so I can claim all the space:)
