I Asked, You Answered!

Reader survey resultsA big thank you to all who participated in my reader survey a few weeks ago. I was so surprised (in a good way) to see that over 120 of you took the time to give me feedback. I loved hearing from you all and appreciate your feedback to help me make my little space as great as it can be. And now on to the results…

Question 1:
Survey Results

It looks like my little blog has made a lot of new friends these past 6 months! Over 60 percent of you have been reading my blog for 6 months or less. During the past 6 months I have been really focusing on growing my blog so I was happy to see that it has payed off with so many new readers around these parts. Welcome, I am so happy your reading!

Question 2:
Survey Results

Over half of you read my blog every time I hit publish, this makes me so happy! I know how busy life gets and there are days when I only have a few minutes to squeeze in some blog reading so I appreciate that so many of you take the time to head my way when you see a new post!

Question 3:
Survey Results

As I mentioned above, the past 6 months I have been putting a lot of effort into growing my blog and my community so this question I was really interested in hearing your answers. From the results I can see that all the time I have taken in joining up with other bloggers for linkups has paid off with half of you finding my blog from a linkup. A lot of you also said you found my blog from one of my comments which again shows me that blogging really is all about community and the effort you put in to being apart of it can really affect your own blogs community. It can be time consuming but really worth it.

Question 4:
Survey Results

Bloglovin’ stole the show on this question and I am not really surprised, I myself rely on Bloglovin’ to keep up with all the wonderful blogs I follow.

Question 5:
Survey Results

The results from this question really surprised me. I had assumed since I write a lot about my life as an expat the majority of my readers were expats themselves. I am glad that you non-expats still find my blog interesting and enjoy following along.

Question 6:
Survey Results

This question really was only because of my curiosity. I am happy to see I have a wide range of ages in my readers!

Question 7:
Survey Results

The US, Germany, China, Finland, Peru, Poland, UK, Mexico, Australia, you guys are from all over the world! This is just awesome to me, blogging has introduced me to so many wonderful people from all over the world and I am happy to have readers following along from every corner of the globe.

Question 8:
Survey Results

It is hard to guess what posts people enjoy the most since my stats vary but I had an idea that my posts about Iceland and expat life would be at the top of the list. This is great as that is mainly what I write about so I am glad you guys enjoy reading those posts!

Question 9:
Survey Results

I was so nervous to put this question out there as I had no idea what you guys would say. I mean what if you guys didn’t want to see any more Azora posts, yikes.

This question didn’t get as many responses (which I assume has to do with the fact that it was a write in option) but I did have some people say they would like less of Iceland travel and tips posts. I was a bit surprised as these posts are what the majority of people said they enjoyed, but you can’t please everyone. Iceland is a huge part of my life right now so these posts will still appear on the blog, but I definitely will mix up how I present the material and keep your feedback in mind.

Question 10:
Survey Results

The three most popular post requests:

1. Personal posts about my daily life
2. Iceland in general, daily life here, tips for visiting etc
3. More of H

I never knew if my readers would enjoy reading posts about my daily life so I have not wrote too many posts about it. I personally love reading the personal posts about daily life as well so I will work on incorporating more of these.

You can count on more Iceland posts coming your way, especially once the weather warms up and I can get out and travel around more. If you have certain tips or questions about Iceland send me an email and I will be happy to answer! I am planning on writing a round-up of the questions I get asked the most so if you have something you would like answered let me know!

I am pretty sure you all made H’s day when I told him he was being requested by my readers ha. One reader wrote, ” more of H, he is quite the handsome Viking”. I think so too, I will be sure to get the Viking on the blog more often:)

Thank you again to you all who took the time to answer my survey. I really appreciate it and all your comments have helped give me an idea of where to go with my blog.

And in other news, I have decided to dive into the world of sponsorships! Want to see your blog button on my sidebar? Check out my advertising page for details!

Question of the Day?
