8 Things You Should Know & $175 Victoria Secret Giveaway!

Hello Friday, I am ridiculously happy to see you!

What a week this has been. I feel like I jumped into Monday and just held on for dear life hoping to make it to Friday. Last night I fell asleep on the couch at 7 and hardly opened my eyes when I shuffled into my bed. Those glorious 12 hours of sleep were much needed though and I woke up today ready to start my Friday!

Here are some things you should know from this past week.

1. We had a sunny spring like day! It was such a perfect day, I stayed outside enjoying every minute of sunshine, I felt like a new person. Sunshine can do wonders for the soul can’t it?

2. I ran outside for the first time in months! Okay this may not seem like news worthy information but to my fellow runners who have been stuck on the treadmill this winter they know how big this is. Thank you sunshine for making this possible, it was glorious.

3. Tomorrow is my works annual ball at the Blue Lagoon. I have been on the committee for the annual ball this year and I can’t wait to see all our months of planning come together. Planning an event for 250+ people is no joke! I am looking forward to finally enjoying the party and no more planning.

4. In case you somehow missed it, and because I can’t stop talking about it, I saw the most amazing Northern Lights on St. Patrick’s Day! I won’t continue on but if you haven’t seen the pictures yet head to this post now.

5. If you have seen the news this week than you may of heard that today there is a solar eclipse that is predicted to be the best one in years. So many people have headed to Iceland for this day, seriously Reykjavik it packed with tourists! Hope everyone gets to see the solar eclipse, put on your glasses, safety first!

6. Every two years H’s work takes a trip abroad. I totally forgot that this year they were taking a trip until H mentioned it a few weeks ago and ever since I have been impatiently waiting to hear the location. Yesterday it was announced and I am so excited as it is a place high up on my travel bucket list. This fall we will be going to… PRAGUE!

7. Adding to my travel wanderlust this past week the university I work at hosted an International week that brought 20 individuals from countries all over Europe. I had such a great time meeting everyone and learning more about their countries, including sampling treats they brought. My favorite of all, red wine from Spain, delicious.

8. I am in serious need of some new bathing suits. When I moved to Iceland I only brought two with me, one of these was lost to a snow storm (okay I dropped it out of my bag and when I realized it the next day it was after a big snow storm and it has not been seen since) and the other is looking a tad ratched.
