Happy Friday!
This week has flown by and I am looking forward to a short work day and a fun evening. Tonight our work is having a “mystery trip” which is apparently a common thing in Icelandic companies. Basically what this means is that the staff gets put on a bus and taken to an unknown location for a night full of fun activities. I am looking forward to see where the evening will take us!
Now on to today’s post…
Based off the results from last weeks reader survey there are a lot of new faces around here (welcome!) so I figured a fun get to know a bunch of useless facts about me survey was in order. I love writing out these survey type post and I hope you all enjoying reading them as well! Let’s get to it shall we.
A. Attached or single?
Attached. Four years with my Viking :)

B. Best friend?
This is a long list for me. My mom, H, my sisters, friends from childhood and of course Azora. This picture is one of my favorites full of many of my best friends since I was a little girl.

C. Cake or pie?
Cake. I will never turn down a piece of red velvet or carrot cake.
D. Day of choice?
Of course I love Fridays, I mean who doesn’t. I also love Sunday’s, minus the fact that I know Monday is closing in on us, but I love the relaxing cozy time Sunday brings.
E. Essential item?
My phone, of course an obvious answer, but it is even more important to me now that I live in Iceland so that I can keep in touch with my loved ones back home.
F. Favorite color?
Purple. My mom knows me well and made me this purple scarf which I am pretty sure I have worn everyday since I got it!

G. Gummy bears or worms?
Gummy worms, but only the sour kind. I love sour candy.
H. Home town?
Creswell, Oregon. The cutest little town of 5,000 people you will find. Growing up I dreamed of living in a big city. Now that I am an adult a bit older I appreciate my childhood growing up in my small town USA.
I. Favorite indulgence?
Pedicures, especially with my mom by my side so we can catch up and get pampered at the same time.
J. January or July?
July all the way. I love summer almost as much as Azora.

K. Kids?
Someday. Not for a long, long time. First I need to travel the world!
L. Life isn’t complete without?
Family, traveling, laughter, puppies, wine, I mean this list could go on!

M. Memory you cherish
Right after we graduated university two of my closest friends got married and their wedding was one of the last events that all our friends were together before we all took off on our separate ways. This photo from their wedding is one of my favorites, it perfectly captures all of us out on the dance floor laughing and I love the fact that my Dad in the middle making us all smile. He knows how to bring the party.

N. Number of brothers/sisters?
Two sisters and two brothers. I am the oldest so the pressure is on!

O. Oranges or Apples?
Apples. Growing up we had several apple trees and while I loved picking the apples off and eating them I also despised when picking apples off the ground was on my chore list.
P. Pet Peeves?
Snot sniffing. You know what I am talking about? When people sniff their snot back up their nose making a disgusting sound. I happened to move to a place where this is not seen as rude at all and is constantly heard wherever you go. Seriously I almost gag every time I hear it, which seems to be all the time here. Like dinner tables aren’t even safe from snot sniffs, I think I need ear plugs.
Q. Quotes?
I am not sure who said this quote but it is on a bracelet my mom gave me when I first moved to Iceland and I have tried to live by the words ever since.
“The biggest risk in life, is the one you don’t take”
R. Reasons to smile?
So many reasons! My wonderful family, H, my friends and life in Iceland, my blog and all my readers. I am surrounded by things that make me smile, isn’t that how life should be??

S. Season of choice?
Summer in Oregon is paradise. Fall in Iceland is beautiful as well. As long as it isn’t freezing outside I am a happy girl.

T. Tea or coffee?
Coffee all the way. I worked in the same drive thru coffee shop for 7 years and I think it will forever be one of my favorite jobs. Now that I have moved to Iceland I am slowly starting to become a tea drinker, this has to do with the fact that many of my friends are British and I can’t go to their house without them making me a cup of tea.
U. Unknown fact about me?
I have never broken a bone (knock on wood). I only have had to get three stitches when I was 12 and cut my finger with scissors. That same day I had a band concert where I had a flute solo (oh ya I played the flute in middle school) lets just say my solo was not so beautiful with my fingers wrapped up in gauze.
V. Vegetable?
Spinach, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, fresh corn on the cob, oh how I love my vegetables!
W. Worst habit?
My mom and H like to call me the little squirrel because I tend to snack at things in the kitchen and leave a little crumb trail. H’s biggest pet peeve is crumbs on the floor in the kitchen so you can imagine how this works out for us.
X. X-Ray or ultrasound?
I have never had either and I would like to keep it that way as they both sound scary to me.
Y. Your favorite trip?
This is a tough one as every trip I take I return home claiming it was the best trip yet! I love traveling and cherish every trip I get to take, so I am saying they are all my favorite!

Z. Zodiac sign?
Gemini. Another fun fact, I was born on Memorial day so every 7 years or so I get to celebrate my birthday with a day off work :) When I was in school though this was terrible since my friends often went away for the long weekend so I always had to wait to have my birthday party.
And now you have a whole bunch of useless information you now know about me, your welcome.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Question of the Day?
Play along and answer some of the survey questions??
