Five Places I Want To Revisit + A Blog Hop

First things first, a big thank you to all of you who have joined me in celebrating my blog birthday. You guys are the best! If you haven’t done so yet there is still some time to enter for your chance to win a gift basket of Icelandic candies, I promise I will only pick the good ones!

Now on to today’s post.

5 Places to RevisitThis post has been popping up on my fellow travel bloggers blogs left and right and I am finally joining in on the fun. While I spend most of my time wanderlusting after new places to visit there are a few places that I have been lucky enough to already travel to that I would love to visit again. If only my full time job was traveling the world! These 5 places are all must see if you haven’t been yet, fingers crossed I get the chance to go back again as well!

1. Florence, Italy

Florence, ItalyFrom the minute we arrived in Florence I knew it was a city I was going to fall in love with. When I think of Florence I picture wine tasting out in the country side, strolls along the river, and checking out the little markets in the city. Lucky for me this is exactly what we found Florence to be. Now if I can figure out a way to have my own little cottage in the countryside of Tuscany, my own “Under The Tuscan Sun” moment.

2. Greece

GreeceTake me anywhere in Greece and I would be one happy girl. I spent my two weeks island hopping in Greece on cloud nine, it was amazing. The food, the beautiful beaches, wonderful people, what more could you want?? But really the food, I would revisit Greece just to eat more of the delicious Greek cuisine!

3. Korčula, Croatia

CroatiaKorčula was added to our time in Croatia at the last minute and neither H or I expected much from our time there. Were we wrong! Korčula ended up being the highlight of our two weeks in Croatia, I only wish we had planned more time there. Stunning blue water, vineyards just a bike ride from the beach and a charming old walled in city, Korčula I expected very little from you and you blew my socks off. The most charming little island, we will be back!

3. Sydney, Australia

via

Sydney will always be a special place to me. It was the first place I traveled abroad, it was where I fell in love with traveling and my Viking, and the city and country is just amazing. If I ever get the chance to head back down under you better believe I will jump at the opportunity!

5. London, England

London, Big BenWith less than 24 hours in the city my time in London was cut far to short. We were so rushed trying to fit everything into the time we had, my day in London seems like a total blur. This is seriously one of the only pictures I have from London! A proper trip back to London is a must so I can get to really explore the city. And a visit to Harry Potter Studios is on my bucket list so I definitely have to return!

Now I just need to figure out how to revisit all of these places as well as visit all the new ones, especially those on my European travel bucket list!

Question of the Day?
What places would you like to revisit?

I haven’t been to Croatia, though Italy is hopefully going to happen next Summer. We are currently only doing Rome & Venice, I don’t think we have enough time to really explore Florence, do you think a day trip would be better than nothing? Of course I love Sydney ;) and London was the first place I ever travelled internationally, so it will always hold a special place in my heart!

I have to agree with #1. I studied abroad for 4 months in Florence and I constantly dream about going back: what will it be like? how much has the city changed? will I remember my favorite places? Iceland looks amazing. I look forward to start following your blog and your adventures.

    Best,

    Kristy // style-blueprint.com

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

There are so many wonderful places it makes it hard to chose! Croatia was wonderful I had never really thought of visiting there but am so glad I got the chance!

  • http://letuswanderlust.blogspot.com/ Carly @ Let Us Wanderlust

I haven’t been to any of your 5 places aside from Sydney! For me, I’d love to go back to Thailand, the Bahamas and New York City (for the third time!)! But whenever the chance come to do some travelling, I always want to go somewhere new!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

I haven’t been to any of those places either, I would love to go to Thailand! Same here, unless it was a part of a trip to several places I always want to go somewhere new. There are just too many beautiful places to see!

I would also love to return to Greece - I was there 8 years ago already and am determined to get back there!
I’m also still dying to get to Croatia, we weren’t able to make it happen this fall timing-wise, so it’ll have to be this winter!! IT MUST!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Yes! A winter trip to sunny Croatia sounds is a must! And something about Greece was just so wonderful I would love to go back.

  • http://www.crumbsinthebed.com/ Kerri

I’ve seen this post pop up around blog land too. I might have a think of my own five places!

Florence will definitely be on my list! We spent just a afternoon and most of the following day there and there was just so much to fall in love with!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Yes! I would love to read your five places. Florence is wonderful isn’t it! I really need more time there such a charming city.

  • http://www.brookemeaganjones.com/ Brooke Jones

Greece is at the top of my list right now although there are so many places I want to go. I’ve spent time in Italy before never got to the Tuscany region, which is such a shame. Under The Tuscan Sun is one of my all-time favorite movies!! Actually, I might have to watch that today now as it’s been a few months since I’ve seen it ha! I lived in England for a year in a small commuter village just outside of London. I had the best time and London will always have a special place in my heart. A trip back there is a must for me someday!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Yes! That movie was the reason I made sure Florence and the Tuscany region was added to our time in Italy, I love that movie! I really need to get back to London, so much to discover there.

  • http://voyageofthemeemee.com/ Amanda MeeMee

I’m jealous… I’d love to visit any of these just ONCE!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Travel is my addiction, I could travel all the time and still not be satisfied!

  • http://reasonstodress.com Reasons to Dress

I feel the same way about certain cities I’ve already been to. I long to relive them in different ways and for more time. I hope you manage to get to all of these again…and I can’t wait to see the posts about them!

Thank you for hosting the linkup!

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Yes exactly! There are just some places where I could visit again and again and always discover something new about the area. Thanks for joining in!

  • http://beertimewithwagner.com/ Jordan Beck Wagner

I 100% agree with you about London! If I don’t go to London a few times a year, I feel like I’m missing a part of me. Also, I couldn’t stand Florence when I visited but I feel like I need give it a second shot :)

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

We spent a lot of time outside of Florence in the countryside surrounding the area, which was stunning! I think I enjoyed Florence so much since we had just came from packed Venice and Milan and Florence was much quieter while we were there. And I am jealous of your frequent London adventures!

      • http://beertimewithwagner.com/ Jordan Beck Wagner

I definitely need to give Florence another shot now :)

  • Kelly Michelle

I absolutely adore Korcula, it’s my favourite place in the whole of Croatia. I took one of my friends to Croatia a few years ago and we ended up extended our stay on the island as we loved it so much - it’s so great when the day trippers leave and you have the Old Town to yourself to watch the sunset. Great choices! xx

    • http://unlockingkiki.com/ Kaelene @ Unlocking Kiki

Korcula is amazing! I am so happy we added it to our trip, I would have loved to stay even longer!
