This weekend was a good one with a mystery work trip on Friday, a beautiful hike on Saturday, and cookies baked on Sunday, I am already dreaming of next weekend. Here are a few snapshots from what I got up to this weekend.

// A nice little leg shot for you all (I am so not comfortable taking gym selfies but had to get a picture of my awesome new gym pants ha!) My weekend started off Friday afternoon with a quick workout in the gym at my work. I love having a gym in the same building, makes it so much easier to make it to the gym when it is only a few minutes from your desk!
And about these awesome pants. My mom got me these workout pants for Christmas and I finally tried them out. I have mentioned this before but most people at the gyms here wear black pants only so wearing these bright colored pants to the gym was a bit out of my comfort zone. These pants though are just too perfect for me to keep hidden, a swirl of my favorite colors in one. Love them!
// Our work mystery trip took us out to a small cabin that seemed to have Harry Potter type tables, as soon as one wine bottle was finished a new one magically appeared. I am almost 10 years younger than most in my office and at the party I was by far the most sober and under control. Some people really let loose! I even drank coffee to try and stay awake and still ended up having H come pick up, I just couldn’t keep up with the party.
// On our way home from the party we drove passed Hallgrimskirkja which was lit up with dancing neon lights. I had totally forgotten that the winter light festival was happening over the weekend and was so happy to get to see the church all lit up since I missed it last year.
// One more stop on our way home was necessary when we drove pass this box filled with neon lights, another exhibit for the light festival. Something about bright color lights just makes things seem like a party.

// Saturday morning I needed a refreshing drink to get me going after my Friday night outing. I am loving a green juice with spinach, ginger, cucumber and green apple. I don’t have a fancy juicer but I just blend everything in my blender and it taste delicious.
// Once I had prepared myself for the day we laced on our hiking boots and took off for a little adventure before the predicted storm set in.
// Parts of the hiking path was a little icy and ice + heights just does not work for me. H had to hold my hand on these icy patches otherwise I was turning back around.
// The view was oh so worth the steep icy climb. Check back in tomorrow with more stunning pictures from our hiking adventure!

// After a few days of warmer temperatures and lots of rain there is hardly any snow left in the city. I had to snap a picture of this little snowman that is in our neighbors yard, so cute and small, but I am not sad to see the snow all melt away.
// This is our “we are so excited to go grocery shopping on a Saturday afternoon face.” Not! Every week we say we are going to go grocery shopping during the week to avoid the crowds and every weekend we find ourselves standing in a long line wondering why we never learn. Saturday afternoons are meant for fun things, not grocery shopping!
// Our Saturday night was spent playing Heads Up and what a blast that game is! We had never heard of the game before but after watching a few Ellen videos on Youtube of her playing it with her guest we had to try. H and I ended up playing the game for over an hour and I don’t think we stopped laughing the entire time. If you haven’t played the game yet, download it now!
And the picture of us playing the game, for those that have played it the person with the word on their forehead is suppose to be guessing the word. H was doing such a terrible job of doing a facial expression of “confused” that I ended up being the one with a confused expression which he thought was to funny to not snap a picture of. We are easily entertained, blame it on the cabin fever.
// Cookies! Pretty much the only important thing you need to know about my rainy Sunday was that I baked cookies, and they were amazing and the only productive thing I did all day. Oh how I love Sundays.
Have a great week everyone!
