On our second day of road tripping through the south of Iceland we were so happy to get some sunshine after traveling in a storm the day before. By the time we had arrived at our hotel the night before we were in the middle of a snow storm.

As you can see everything was covered in snow so we didn’t really have any idea what our surrounding looked like. This made the drive out of our hotel the next morning a wonderful surprise. I think it took us a half hour to drive down the 2 mile gravel road because we couldn’t stop taking pictures of the beautiful surroundings!

Breathtaking right? Lucky for me this was what most of our views for the entire day would look like. A road trip is much better when you have something pretty to look at:)

This last picture pretty well sums up our trip. Me constantly getting out and running to take yet another photo before jumping back into the car. All of these photos were taken on our way to our first stop of the day, the Glacier Lagoon.
Our second day also included a hike to yet another beautiful waterfall and taking a dip in a geothermal pool a few miles back into the mountains. Next week I will share our photos from these stops. So many beautiful pictures from this trip, Iceland is like the perfect model to photograph!
Question of the Day?
Are you constantly stopping to take photos on a road trip or do you prefer to sit back and enjoy the view?
